The brief
A major high-street book retailer needed a bespoke software bridge between their ERP/WMS platform and an automated book-packing and labelling machine. The integration was technically demanding: a proprietary machine controller talking to an ageing Windows-based platform on the hardware side.
What we built
We wrote a custom .NET/C# middleware service to drive the machine’s ZPL label printer and packaging hardware directly from warehouse order data. The requirements evolved throughout, so we built for change.
Outcome
Reliable, functional software that stood up under real production pressure, with the packing and labelling machine driven directly from the retailer’s warehouse order data.
